Basalt fiber roving is a kind of bound monofilament, which combines stranded parallel monofilament or sub-thread parallel monofilament together in no twist condition. Some properties of 7-13um Roving as following: tensile strength≥0.65N/tex, modulus of elasticity≥95Gpa, elongation at break≤2.6%. Basalt fiber not only have the same high intensity, modulus and shock resistance performance as high technique fiber of PPTA and UHMWPE, but also have good thermostability and light resistance, especially have a high bonding strength when combines with resin, so it is widely used in weaving, winding, knitting kinds of compositions.
